Some of us dream of crisp, white walls, elegant furniture, and green lawns while others spend time looking at infinity pools, outdoor BBQ pits and stylish wet rooms that can double as saunas. No matter who we are, we’ve all thought about what would make visitors go oh my god! Those totally crazy elements that could take our home from sweet to super cool in one fell swoop. Well, as they say, there are both dreamers and doers so we’re here to share the results of those who said why not?
Many of us are happy to have a small fish tank, or if we’re really lucky a pond. However, there are those slightly more adventurous souls who don’t just think outside the box, they fill it with water, put a load of tropical fish into it and then turn it into an amazing bed head! So when you’re lying in bed at night you’re surrounded by the ghostly blue glow of fish swimming through waving ferns and sunken shipwrecks, while the lights instinctively know when to switch over to night mode, so you won’t be kept awake.
In The Shadows
This definitely isn’t for those who get scared easily, suffer from insomnia or who tend to wake up in the middle of the night suddenly. Thanks to the invention of the forest light, it’s possible to turn your bedroom into a creepy, dark forest at the flick of a switch. The illusion creates hundreds of shadow trees that sway back on forth on the walls as well as giving a slightly disturbing outdoor feel to the room. The chandelier itself has been created from artfully twisted metal rods that, when the light’s switched on, look like gnarled, pointing branches and twigs. If you love a touch of the gothic, or macabre and have been searching for a real focal point then this has to be it.

Office Swing Set
Inspired by Scandinavian design that promotes functionality in custom built furniture, the owners of this fantastic swing set dining table wanted to create a fun, fresh way of entertaining. The swing set itself is suspended from the ceiling, while steel cables are secured at floor level, and the seats are securely held in place so there will be no fear of you going over the top like you might have done as a child. Reports say that you can actually swing back and forth, although they are designed to be used as proper chairs.
Any Harry Potter fan worth their salt would sell their first broomstick to own this wicked spiral staircase and be able to choose whether to walk, or slide downstairs every day as if by magic. Not only are these some beautiful spiral stairs, using natural woods to keep things as eco-friendly as possible but they also do double duty as a slide! A smooth wooden curving tunnel is wrapped around the entirety of stairs themselves and finishes at the same spot as where the last step ends. While this slide looks like it’s been designed for children, there’s nothing stopping you from creating a full-size version!
