I’ve always loved buying stationary, what I love even more is buying stationary that will actually be used!! Since returning to studying I thought I would share a post of the must haves for a student – especially if like me you have forgotten what it’s like to return to class!!
Lever arch folder – essential for organising assignment briefs, handouts and notes. I love the ones from Engelbert Strauss as they are so reliable compared to others – the worst thing is when the folder fails and all the papers fall out. You can find them here and if you like to personalise them and love to craft, I found a great tutorial here.
Project notebook – these have been a great help for quick access to a specific subjects notes. They also make great bullet journals which are hugely popular now.
Pencil case – no student bag is complete without a case for all your pens and pencils. I love the range paperchase have to offer at the moment.
Textbooks – although the internet can be great, sources aren’t always credible and nothing can beat a good textbook.
Diary – must have for organising your now busier life, and keeping track of looming deadlines!
Rucksack – all the books need a nice padded strapped bag to carry them all around each day.
Laptop – since now everything is written and submitted online, a laptop is a much needed equipment, albeit being the most expensive!
Most importantly, don’t forget when shopping around – student discount!!!
I haven’t purchased a NUS card, but I have downloaded the app’s UNiDAYS and Student Beans. Although in some places just your student card is enough to prove your status!
If your thinking of becoming a student or you’re a new student, hope you enjoy your studies! Going back to education has been one of my best decisions – I really enjoy learning and putting new info in this brain of mine!
Good luck!
