Proposing Proposals: Asking For Her Hand In Marriage

Once in a lifetime (hopefully,) you will have on shot at asking your partner for their hand in marriage. This means taking all of your bravery, courage and decision making to its extreme degree, and displaying them in the most intimate and personal form of expression you possibly can. This is likely to make you very nervous, but at the same time it can be amazingly worth it, as the feeling you will get if she says yes will rival all others you’ve felt so far in your lifetime. Of course, this feeling does worry people, because often it’s easy to feel that the person in question could say no, leading to a make or break in your relationship.

Asking for her hand in marriage is more of an art than a science. While only you know the extent of your partner’s personality to a loving degree, this also burdens you with a great responsibility, and that responsibility is proposing correctly. Luckily, this guide is here as an extra tool to help you do this:

Ask Permission

While it might seem antiquated by now, asking for your partner’s hand in marriage first must go through their parents. If they haven’t parents, consider asking their best friend. It’s always nice to have the blessing of someone close to know that the relationship will be on great social grounding. You may even get some insightful tips from her father as to how to do it, so never neglect this duty.

Find The Best Engagement Band

It’s important to propose with the right engagement ring. While material goods are often not the decider of most loyal relationships, it’s important to understand that your partner will desire a nicer band to wear and show her friends. Try to meet a balance of style, quality and premium, long lasting feel. This band should potentially be given to your grandchildren for them to propose with, so it needs to be durable and something that retains its charm and shine. Consider opting for Tacori wedding bands as they are often the most beautiful and well crafted of them all – you can find them here https://www.whiteflash.com/wedding-rings/tacori/.

Location

Finding somewhere to propose is one of the most important things to consider. It needs to take into account the personality of your beloved. Are they extroverted? If so proposing on a public stage could be the best method of making the event seem significant and one for the history books. Is she introverted? If so, doing so could simply stress her out and make her feel pressured into a decision one way or another.

No matter how many loving videos of proposals you’ve seen on YouTube taking place in wonderful and extreme places, sometimes a place fond in both of your hearts is a wonderful thing to do. For example, taking her back to the place you once met, or visiting somewhere she has always wanted to go could become a perfect opportunity. Just be sure to plan the exact moment, and try to avoid a spontaneous kneeling.

When taking care of these three things, your proposal is sure to go off without a hitch. Good luck!

Invest In Your Career (Because Nobody Else Will)

As the first month of the new year draws to a close, many see this as a time to reflect on the goals they’ve set for themselves and track the progress that they’ve made towards them so far. This is a great practice! It’s hard to stay motivated when the task at hand seems almost Herculean in scale and taking stock of what you’ve accomplished regularly can help you stay on track and feeling good about yourself. If, however, you’ve chosen this as the year to give your career the shot in the arm it needs, it’s easy to become frustrated.

Even if you apply for jobs every single day and send out speculative CVs to companies in your every free moment, it can be extremely difficult to remain positive when your email and voicemail inbox remain infuriatingly empty. If this sounds achingly familiar, it may be time to invest in yourself and your career…. Because if you don’t, who will?

Starting or maintaining your own business

Do you dream of being self employed or starting your own business? Or do you already have your own business but feel like it’s stagnating due to poor cash flow? In either case, it’s time to start making some capital investments. You don’t even have to quit your day job. Seek the aid of a business coaching service like Blue Orchid and attend a free seminar. They’ll help you to build your business plan and advise on where to start looking for startup capital.. Buy a domain name and start building your business’ presence on social media. You can manage this easily alongside your day job. If you already have a business but lack the liquidity to make the capital investments that will grow your business perhaps you need a lift with some merchant cash advances? This may be the investment that takes your business to the next level.

Training and education

Whether you dream of being a primary school teacher or a nail technician, you’ll be able to train part time at a pace that suits your work and family commitments or full time with the aid of a grant, bursary or student loan. Education can be expensive and disruptive not to mention a lot of hard work, but if you feel like your life has hit a plateau there’s no better way to dig yourself out of the rut.

Get help (there’s lots of it out there and a lot of it’s free!)

The prospect of figuring out where to take your career by yourself can be a daunting one, but remember that you’re not as alone as you may think. There’s often good quality free advice out there. The National Careers Service is a good place to start while your local job centre can get you an appointment to get your CV in the best possible shape as well as giving free and impartial advice on local coaching seminars or careers fairs in your area.

Don’t be afraid to build relationships with others online or in person by attending networking events or simply reaching out to people on LinkedIn and other, more traditional social media outlets.

Whether you’re investing your time, effort or money, it’s never wasted when it’s in the pursuit of a better quality of life with better pay, prospects and job satisfaction!

5 Simple Ways to be Smarter with Money in 2018

You might be an adult with a grown-up job title, a car and a lovely little home of your own, but if you’re like the average American, chances are all of that stuff hasn’t taught you nearly enough about managing your money.

Despite the fact that most of us are able to manage our lives pretty well when it comes to money, it can be a different story entirely. For example, the average American household was more than $16,00o in debt in 2017 with outstanding U.S. consumer debt totaling a staggering $3.9 trillion!

If you’re one of the many who’s in debt, spending too much and not saving as much for the future as you possibly could, why not make 2018 the year you start to be smarter with your money? Here are some things that will help you with that:

Cut the Cost of Your Debts

If you have debts that are accruing interest right now, you need to pay them off fast because they are costing you a fortune. If you can’t do that, then at least minimize the amount of interest you need to pay.

You can do this by consolidating debts, transferring your balance to a zero percent card or even just by paying off as much more than the minimum as you can. Make paying off your debts a priority and your financial future will start looking up this year.

Automate Savings

If you set up your account so that a predetermined amount immediately gets sent to your savings every month, then you will probably find that you don’t miss it nearly as much and it won’t be so difficult for you to do the right thing. Ideally, you should aim to send 20 percent of your salary to savings after first paying down debt.

Fix Your Credit Score

If you’ve had bad credit in the past, should you need to apply for credit this year, perhaps car finance or a mortgage, then it is unlikely you will get the best deals out there unless you use a fast credit repair service to fix your score first. Do this, and at the very least the cost of future debts will be lower, and you’ll actually have access to the ‘good’ kind of credit that y may need.

Log Your Incomings and Outgoings

If you want to use your money wisely, you first need to know how you use it foolishly. Use one of the many apps that you can link to your bank account and credit cards to log every penny. Then, analyze the data eliminate the excess.

Put Your Money into a 529 Plan

If you’re a parent, and you want to be smart with your money, one of the best things you can do is save your spare cash in a 529, which you might know as a qualified tuition plan, and which will allow you to save as much as $140,000 (as a married couple) tax-free for your children’s’ future college education.

If you’re serious about being smart with your money, these are some great ways to start!
